Battery Box Fire Pit

Get your self a discarded ‘Fork Lift’ battery box, and you are half way to a great fire pit for the back yard. In this case, I managed to obtain a half dozen battery boxes of a couple different sizes free for the taking. The one I used for this project is roughly 25 X 34 inches, by about 20 iches high, and built out of beefy 1/4″ steel.

Obviously, you could use it ‘as-is’ with a little clean up, and it would work fine. But, depending what your local rules and bylaws are, you may have to make a few additions in order to keep out of trouble with the local authority.
